Itexponent started as a reserch initiative at the iSchool and was originally led by the former director of IM program, Dr. Robert Heckman. This project was driven by the graduate students at the iSchool. Students volunteered to work on this research project which involved researching the emerging technologies that would revolutionize the future of IT. This project was initiated in 2004. Due to some reasons, this initiative could not survive well.
This year, we have revitalized this effort under the guidance of David Dischaive, Director IM and are trying to keep it an ongoing by enhancing the content and design of the itexponent website. We have also added new sections which will definitely prove to be value added services for the iSchool students.
It is a platform to create peer network and continuosly enhance a knowledge base regarding various IT issues & emerging technologies. It will also help students to get first hand advice about internships and full time jobs from current iSchool students and alumni through a student developed website.
It is all about creation, collaboration and contribution.
